Yogi government is encouraging innovation among teachers

Lucknow, 22 October (HS). The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is making a unique effort with the aim of encouraging educational innovations among council teachers and improving teaching through creative methods like art, craft and puppetry. By organizing state level art, craft and puppetry teaching competition, teachers are being taught the tricks of making education more attractive and effective through new and effective methods apart from traditional educational methods.

This competition, organized by Uttar Pradesh State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Lucknow, was started in the year 2017-18 with the formation of Yogi government. Now this year it is being organized between 21st and 25th October.

One teacher selected from each district is participating

One teacher selected from each district has been sent to participate in the state level competition, who is now trying hard to prove himself the best by showing his talent by being a part of the competition organized under the second phase at SCERT, Lucknow.

150 teachers are participating in the competition being held in five categories.

In this competition, a total of 375 teachers from 75 districts got the opportunity to prove their talent. Now the participating teachers in collaboration with TLM are trying to prove that children can be made proficient by using the teaching learning materials prepared by them.

Dr. Pawan Sachan, Joint Director of SCERT, says that as per the intention of the government, instructions were given not to send the name of any one teacher for the competition again and again and to give a chance to new teachers to participate in the competition. Efforts are also being made to bring out the innovation of new teachers by giving them opportunities.

Ganesh Kumar, Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training, Lucknow, said that this competition is a golden opportunity for teachers, in which they can showcase their creativity and innovations. Integrating teaching with methods like art, craft and puppetry is an important step in raising the standards of education.
