New Delhi, 18 October (Hindustan Reporter). Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his country (Russia) wants to promote Indian films in its country. Indian films are already quite popular in Russia. We have a special TV channel showing Indian movies.
Addressing the leaders of big media houses of BRICS countries, Vladimir Putin said that Indian films are most popular in Russia. We have a special TV channel on which Indian movies are shown 24 hours a day. We are very interested in Indian films. We have organized the BRICS Film Festival. This year the Moscow International Film Festival will present films from BRICS countries. We are positive that with the interest in Indian films we will find some common ground and promote them in Russia. He also talked about increasing cooperation with India in the pharmaceutical sector and said that he will talk to Prime Minister Modi in this regard.
Specifically quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his conversation, Vladimir Putin said that BRICS is not against anyone. Prime Minister Modi has rightly said that BRICS is not an anti-West group but a group without the West. He said that BRICS focuses on common values, development and mutual interests. BRICS signals the creation of new growth centers in the world and will also define future economic growth. He said that Eurozone countries are on the verge of economic recession which will ultimately benefit from BRICS.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister will visit Russia on 22 and 23 October to participate in the meeting of top leaders of BRICS countries.
