Hamirpur, 18 October (Hindustan Reporter). District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena on Friday gave great relief to the family by approving the treatment of an innocent disabled child in a big hospital. He said that this innocent child will not only join the main stream of the society but will also get relief from the problem of deaf and dumb.
Ashish Kumar (3,7 years), resident of Bhainra Danda village of Maudaha area of Hamirpur district, is deaf and mute. Family members were also not able to get treatment due to financial problems. This innocent child had come here today with her mother to complain to the District Magistrate.
The District Magistrate approved the treatment of this innocent child for cochlear implant from Dr. SN Mehrotra ENT Foundation Ashok Nagar Kanpur out of the twenty one hospitals empaneled by the Directorate of Disability Empowerment Department, Uttar Pradesh Lucknow. He directed that all such children with disabilities should be identified and they should be connected to the main stream of society by getting Konquier implant done. Parents or guardians of such disabled children who are up to five years of age and are deaf and mute, can contact the office of District Disability Empowerment Officer, Hamirpur on any working day.
