Kathmandu: On one hand, in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Islamabad, member countries have resolved to increase mutual cooperation and keep an eye on the sovereignty and integrity of each country. The communists then infiltrated from their Tibetan border and built a wall in their attacked district on the Tibetan border of Nepal and covered it with layers of rotating barbed wire for security.
When the villagers of that area drew the attention of the government about this activity of the Chinese, the Oli government lodged a protest with the Chinese Embassy, the Chinese Embassy said that we are taking this action because this area is ours. That's why Oli's government, which was once considered a stooge of China, said that our map shows that area as ours. Not only this, but our Revenue Department office has records of decades of revenue received from there. So how can that area be yours? So the Chinese Embassy said that we will investigate it but for now let the situation remain as it is. This means that China does not want to leave this area.
Nepal, on the other hand, refuses to acknowledge that its western border with India lies along the Kaliganga River. Actually, Kaliganga River has been the border line of India-Nepal not for decades but for centuries. China is putting pressure on Nepal to not accept this. On the other hand, by taking Tibet under its control, it is grabbing Nepal's land.
