Amid reports of strained relations between India and Canada, Justin Trudeau has made a big confession. Trudeau acknowledged that he had not provided India with evidence related to Nijjar's murder. Trudeau admitted that it was he who had given intelligence information related to the Nijjar massacre to India. Trudeau's confession is important because on one hand Canada is claiming that it has given evidence related to the Nijjar massacre to India. India rejected this claim and said that Canada has not provided any evidence related to the killing of Nijjar.
tension between the two countries
It is noteworthy that after the murder of Khalistani Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada last year and the Canadian government's allegation of India's involvement in this incident, the tension between the two countries is no longer hidden from anyone. Both the countries have expelled six diplomats of each other.
Trudeau's big confession
Trudeau has now admitted that he did not provide true evidence to India about Nijjar's murder. He acknowledged that Canada had only provided intelligence before publicly accusing India of Nijjar's murder. But no evidence was given in this regard.
This issue was raised in G-20
Trudeau said, I raised this issue with PM Modi in G-20. He said that meanwhile Modi told me that many people in Canada are speaking against the Indian government and he wants to see these people arrested.
India asked not to give evidence
The Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday saying that it has not shared evidence of the allegations against the Canadian government. India accused Trudeau of indulging in vote bank politics for political gains and said that despite his demands, Canada has not presented any concrete evidence of India's involvement in the Niger killings.
Trudeau blamed India for this
The Justin Trudeau regime blamed India for the killing of Niger and since then tensions have been high between the two countries. In September 2023, Trudeau had made serious allegations against India and said that Indian agents were involved in the murder of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India has clearly described such allegations as 'motivated'.
Recently, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made many allegations against India in a press conference. He said the events of the past year have shocked people, especially Canadian citizens of Indian origin and the Sikh community. Many people are angry, upset and scared. I understand, this should not have happened.
PM Trudeau said, Canada is a country that believes in the law and for us the safety of our citizens is paramount. That is why our legal agencies and intelligence officers made credible allegations that Indian government agents were directly involved in the murder of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. We took immediate action on this.
