A review of a recent survey conducted by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) among trade associations in 70 cities across the country has revealed that traders across the country have made extensive preparations this year. A large number of products are manufactured to meet the demands and preferences of the customers. In view of the huge purchases by consumers in the markets across the country on Rakshabandhan, Ganesh Puja, Navratri, Durga Puja and Dussehra, there is a strong possibility of a business of Rs 4.25 lakh crore during the festive season this year. Last year the figure of this trade was Rs 3.5 lakh crore, in Delhi alone this figure is estimated to be more than Rs 75 thousand crore. The wedding season will start soon after the festive season, in which traders across the country are expecting huge business.
