Prayagraj, 12 October (Hindustan Reporter). The Yogi government is making preparations on a war footing to make the Mahakumbh, which is going to be organized in Sangamnagar, grand and divine. Due to flooding in rivers, till now the focus of the Kumbh Mela administration was towards the permanent preparations for the fair, but as the flood water of the rivers is decreasing rapidly, temporary works in the Kumbh area have also started gaining momentum. These temporary works also include beautification of the Kumbh area. In this sequence, thematic gates are being constructed in the fair area.

Yogi government is working in mission mode regarding security, facilities and cleanliness as well as beauty of Kumbh in Maha Kumbh. The government's effort is that when the devotees reach Sangamnagar during the Maha Kumbh event, they will not only be stunned to see the aura of this place, but will also be completely drenched in the colors of religious faith. Work on the beautification plan in the urban area has gained momentum. But now work on the beautification plan in the Kumbh area has started.

Prayagraj's Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh says that under the beautification plan in the Kumbh area, there is a plan to construct 30 temporary thematic gates. This work was halted due to floods but now as soon as the flood waters recede, EOIs (Expression of Interest) have been invited for the installation of temporary thematic gates. So far, designs of 600 gates have been received against interest from 10 firms. Financial tender is under process for the designs selected out of these 600 designs. For the construction of all these gates, 14 gems extracted from the churning of the ocean have been selected in the context of the mythological story of Kumbh. These gates will be constructed keeping mythological iconography as the basis.

The regional tourism officer says that these will be constructed in all four directions of the Kumbh area, but in the sectors of the fair area where there is more traffic of tourists and devotees. Construction of these gates will be given priority. Signages of major sectors of the fair area will also be installed around these gates. While constructing the gates, care will also be taken that such lighting arrangements should be made in these gates at night so that they attract the attention of the tourists and devotees coming here with their grandeur from a distance.
