Kanpur, 11 October (HS). A massive fire suddenly broke out in a candle factory located in Bans Mandi of Anwarganj police station area on Friday. Lakhs of people were burnt to ashes in the fire. However, the fire brigade personnel who reached the spot after receiving the information brought the fire under control after tireless efforts. Prima facie the cause of the fire has been said to be short circuit. There was no loss of life due to the fire.
Local fire in-charge Kailash Nath told that Azimur Rahman has a candle making factory in a house near Bansmandi police post of Anwarganj. On Friday, a sudden fire broke out due to short circuit. Within no time the fire became huge. immediately upon notice
Fire brigade personnel and officers arrived with seven fire engines and after tireless efforts were successful in controlling the fire. However, there was no loss of life due to the fire.
A lot of stuff got burnt in the fire. But till now the owner of the factory has not told in writing how much damage has been done. Investigation is ongoing in this regard.
