Tata Trust: After the demise of Ratan Tata, the suspense over who will take charge of Tata Trust has been lifted. The search for Ratan Tata's successor is over. After the death of Ratan Tata, Noel Tata will now take charge of Tata Trust. A decision has been taken in an important meeting of Tata Trust on Friday regarding the new Chairman of Tata Trust, Noel Tata. The market capitalization of 29 listed companies of Tata Group is around $ 403 billion i.e. Rs 39 lakh crore.
Tata Trust held a meeting in Mumbai today to discuss succession. Ratan Tata's half-brother Noel Tata has been appointed chairman of Tata Trust. The meeting comes after the death of Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons and the driving force behind the philanthropic organisation, on October 9 at the age of 86. Ratan Tata was cremated with full political honors in Mumbai on 10 October. He did not appoint his successor before his death.

Noel Tata's three children are currently handling different responsibilities in the Tata Group. Maya Tata, 34, has held roles at Tata Opportunities Fund and Tata Digital. He had an important role in launching Tata's new app. Neville, 32, is the chairman of Tata Trent Ltd, which heads hypermarket chain Star Bazaar. Whereas, 39 year old Lia Tata looks after the hospitality sector of Tata Group. It handles Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. He also oversees the Indian Hotel Company.
