TCS second quarter net profit increases by 5 percent to Rs 11,909 crore

Mumbai/New Delhi, October 10 (HS). Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's largest information technology (IT) service provider company, has announced the results for the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2024-25. In the July-September quarter, TCS's net profit has increased by 4.99 percent year-on-year to Rs 11,909 crore.

The Tata group company told the stock market on Thursday that its profit during the second quarter of the current financial year 2024-25 has been Rs 11,909 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year 2023-24, TCS had made a net profit of Rs 11,342 crore. However, TCS's profit in the first quarter (April-June) was Rs 12,040 crore.

Giving information about the financial results, the company said that its revenue increased by 7.06 percent to Rs 64,988 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year ending in September, which was Rs 60,698 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year 2023-24. TCS had earned revenue of Rs 63,575 crore in the April-June quarter. Apart from this, the company's profit before tax has been Rs 16,032 crore, whereas it was Rs 15,330 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. TCS shares closed at Rs 4,228.40, down 23.90 points or 0.56 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
