The Indian stock market is open in the green zone today i.e. Wednesday 09 October. Yesterday also the market had closed with a gain of 673 points. Today the Sensex is trading at the level of 81,800 with a gain of more than 150 points. Nifty also saw a jump of 50 points and is trading at 25,060.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 are up and 1 is down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 38 are rising and 12 are declining. All local indices of NSE are trading rapidly.

Among Nifty stocks, the top gainers were BPCL up 2.88 per cent, Tata Motors up 1.98 per cent, Shriram Finance up 1.92 per cent, Tech Mahindra up 1.34 per cent and Asian Paints up 1.32 per cent. At the same time, the biggest falling stocks include ONGC 1.47 percent, Nestle India 0.97 percent, Britannia 0.78 percent, Hindalco 0.64 percent and JSW Steel 0.64 percent.
Sectoral Index Status
As for local indices, the biggest gainers on Wednesday were Nifty Healthcare index up 1.15 per cent, Nifty Pharma up 1.11 per cent, Nifty Mid Small Healthcare up 0.94 per cent, Nifty Oil & Gas up 0.22 per cent, Nifty Consumer Durables up 0.7 per cent. Cent, Nifty Healthcare index Nifty Realty rose by 1.15 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.83 per cent, Nifty Media by 0.87 per cent, Nifty IT by 0.92 per cent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.66 per cent, Nifty Auto by 0.56 per cent and Nifty Bank by 0.11 per cent. I. Apart from this, a decline of 0.02 percent was seen in Nifty Private Bank, 0.35 percent in Nifty Metal and 0.10 percent in Nifty FMCG.
The market remained bullish on Tuesday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 8, the Sensex had closed at 81,634 with a gain of 584 points. Nifty also closed at 25,013, up 217 points.
Meanwhile, BSE Small Cap closed at 55,439, up 1,322 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 rose and 11 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 were up and 14 were down. The media sector saw the highest increase of 3.11%.
