The government can give the gift of dearness allowance to central employees before Diwali. Modi government can increase Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3 to 4 percent. At present, government employees get 50 percent dearness allowance. If DA increases then dearness allowance can be 53 or 54 percent. Although the government will announce the increase in DA in October, it will be considered effective from July 1 only. 3 months DA arrears will come in October salary. Along with this, Diwali bonus will also come.

DA of central employees will increase by 54%

The government can increase DA from 50% to 54%. This year also in March 2024, the government had increased DA by 4%, after which DA became 50%. DA is reviewed every six months. Whenever the announcement is made, it is considered to be effective from January 1 and October 1.

The salary of central employees will increase by this much

Dearness allowance for employees and pensioners is an important component, which is based on the average of the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). If there is an increase of 3% this time, then those whose basic salary is ₹ 18,000, their monthly DA will increase from ₹ 9,000 to ₹ 9,540. If there is an increase of 4% then it can reach ₹9,720.
