7th Pay Commission DA Hike Update: There is big news for 1 crore central employees and pensioners. It is expected that the government may announce increase in dearness allowance on Wednesday. An increase of 3 to 4 percent in Dearness Allowance (DA) is expected. If the government increases then this DA can increase from 50% to 54%. This year also in March 2024, the government had increased it by 4%, after which DA became 50%. DA is reviewed every six months. Whenever an announcement is made, it is considered effective from January 1 and October 1. This time Diwali bonus will also come in October salary.
Dearness allowance will increase due to inflation pressure:
Dearness allowance for employees and pensioners is an important component, which is based on the average of the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). If there is an increase of 3% this time, then those whose basic salary is ₹ 18,000, their monthly DA will increase from ₹ 9,000 to ₹ 9,540. If there is an increase of 4% then it can reach ₹9,720.
Expectation of relief in festive season:
The announcement of DA increase in October is expected to provide financial relief to employees and pensioners in the festive season. This increase will be helpful in dealing with inflation and 1 crore government employees and pensioners will directly benefit from it.
Preparation for 8th Pay Commission:
At present, the government's focus is on increasing DA and controlling inflation, but at the same time discussions are also going on regarding the Eighth Pay Commission. At present, employees are waiting for the gift of DA increase on the occasion of Navratri.
