If the government increases then this DA can increase from 50 percent to 54 percent. This year also in March 2024, the government increased DA by 4 percent, after which DA increased to 50 percent. DA is reviewed every six months. Whenever it is announced, it is considered effective from January 1 and October 1. This time Diwali bonus will also come in the October salary.
DA will increase under inflation pressure:
Dearness Allowance is an essential component for employees and pensioners, which is based on the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) average. If there is an increase of 3 percent this time, then the monthly DA of those whose basic salary is Rs 18,000 will increase from Rs 9,000 to Rs 9,540. If there is an increase of 4 percent then it can reach Rs 9,720.
