Free Gas Cylinder Scheme: To make the festival of Navratri and Diwali even more special, the government has started a wonderful scheme. Recently, the state and central governments have announced to provide free gas cylinders to women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Lakhs of women will benefit from this scheme, and also, a subsidy of ₹300 will also be provided to the beneficiary women under the scheme.
Eligibility and required documents for Ujjwala Yojana
The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is to strengthen women economically and reduce the harmful effects of the environment. Application Process: Online and Offline Options
The process of applying for Ujjwala Yojana is very easy. Interested women can apply online through the official website of the scheme. If a woman cannot apply online, she can apply offline by visiting her nearest gas distribution center. The application process here too is simple and easy, and you need to submit the same documents as in the online process.
Impact of timely delivery and planning
The government has made special arrangements to ensure timely delivery of gas connections. Poor and economically weaker section families will be provided free gas connections before Diwali, so that their festival is filled with joy and light. Uttar Pradesh government is also preparing to provide the benefit of this scheme to illuminate many houses under this scheme.
At present the application forms for this scheme have not been started, but the portal for this will be launched before Diwali. You can apply through this portal and avail free gas cylinder and subsidy.
