Lucknow: Teenager jumped from the eighth floor of the building, died | News India

Lucknow, 05 October (HS). On Saturday morning, a teenager jumped from the eighth floor of a building in Hazratganj area. With the help of people, he was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he died. Police have identified the body and sent it for post-mortem.

According to preliminary information received from the police, at around 07:30 am on Saturday morning, the guard of the Commerce House building informed the police station that a young man had jumped from the building. The police immediately reached the spot and took the injured youth to the Civil Hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead.

Necessary action is being taken by calling the field unit. CCTV footage is being examined. Panchayatnama of the dead body has been filled and sent for post-mortem.

Kishore Charan went to the eighth floor of the fire service stairs of the Commerce House building opposite the hotel, which is closed, and jumped from there. After contacting the relatives on the basis of mobile phone found in the bag of the deceased, he was identified as 17-year-old Aditya, resident of Jankipuram.

The station in-charge told that the youth was preparing for IIT-JEE. Investigation is being done as to why he committed suicide. The family members have reached the spot. Other legal proceedings are ongoing.
