Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhania, who reached Kanpur on Friday, said these things at the 89th Foundation Day celebration of the National Sugar Institute.
National Sugar Institute celebrated its 89th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on Friday. The program organized on the Foundation Day was inaugurated by Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhania, Sangeet ji, Director (Sugar) and Professor Dr. Seema Paroha, Director of National Sugar Institute, garlanded the statue of Mother Saraswati and lit the lamp. The objective of the program was to honor prominent farmers, sugar and distillery industry experts and other stakeholders who have played a significant role in the development and modernization of the Indian sugar industry. Chief Guest Union Minister of State Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhania appreciated the research, innovation and training efforts of the institute. He particularly mentioned the Institute's work in the field of ethanol production and bio-fuels, which are part of the government's future vision of clean and green energy.

Sangeet ji Director (Sugar) said that the entrepreneurs who received awards from Sugar on this occasion are proof that the talented students coming out of the institute have brought glory to the institute with their excellent work. He appreciated the efforts of the institute in the field related to biofuels and ethanol. The Chief Guest honored the leading farmers and industry experts for their extraordinary contributions. Various activities like technical sessions, exhibitions and student talks were organized on this occasion. During this, the Union Minister of State also laid the foundation stone of the Tissue-Culture Lab amidst the recitation of Vedic mantras.
Agreement signed with 12 countries
On the foundation day, Dr. Seema Paroha, Director of the National Sugar Institute, said that in the sugar industry, better institutions are being contacted from the point of view of technology. Till now, agreements regarding consultation and training have been signed with about 12 countries of the world. Along with this, he informed about the MoU signed with IIT Kanpur and the institute's growing steps towards Center of Excellence. During this, Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Shailendra Kumar Trivedi, Ashok Kumar Garg, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Chauhan, Anoop Kanojia, Dr. Vinay Kumar, Virendra Kumar, Dr. Ananthalakshmi, M.
