Kanpur: Two women from Maharashtra arrested for stealing from women walking on the road | News India

Kanpur, 04 October (Hindus). The police team of Kalyanpur police station arrested two women from Maharashtra who stole from women walking on the road under Operation Trinetra campaign. Cash and jewelery have been recovered from the possession of the arrested women. Legal action was taken against both of them and they were sent to jail.

Deputy Commissioner of Police West Zone Rajesh Kumar Singh said that the arrested accused were Reena wife Krishna, resident of Rotmal, Maharashtra and her neighbor Radhika wife Shani, who were currently living on rented room in the house of Saraswati, resident of Parampurva village located in Juhi police station area of ​​Kanpur city. Even before this, a case has been registered against both of them in Kotwali, Shivrajpur, Rail Bazar police station.

During interrogation, the arrested women told that to fulfill their hobbies, pleasures and expenses, they first distract their attention by talking to lonely women on the road and then steal the purse of the passerby by cutting it with a blade. The police team has recovered a white metal coin, SBI passbook, Rs 1192 in cash and two surgical blades from both their possessions.
