What is Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Scheme?
This scheme was started by the government to provide gas to every household in the villages. So that women can easily cook food on gas. Even today, in many houses in remote villages, women are deprived of many facilities and are forced to cook food on the stove, due to which they suffer from various lung and respiratory diseases. Many women suffer from various eye problems due to smoke. To overcome this problem, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

Women suffered from many diseases due to stoves and coal burning fireplaces. To get rid of these problems, the Central Government started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

When was this scheme started?
