Israel Hezbollah conflict: Israel is said to pursue its enemies to the end. After breaking the back of Hamas, it is now carrying out continuous attacks to eliminate Hezbollah. This is the reason why after the air strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, Israel has launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon. Netanyahu has adopted Russian President Putin's 'Donbass Plan' to eliminate Hezbollah. But now the question is, is this a plan? Israel's National Security Cabinet has described the Israeli army's ground operation in Lebanon as the fourth phase of the war against Hezbollah. Israeli army has entered Lebanese soil for the fourth time. The Israeli army has given an ultimatum to about 30 villages in southern Lebanon to leave the area.
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adri said in a social media post that people in southern Lebanon should immediately move north to the Awali River to save their lives.
Awali is in the northern border of Lebanon, about 60 km from the Israel–Lebanon border. After the war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006, the United Nations declared it a buffer zone.
What is Netanyahu's plan with Putin?
Israel has decided to completely destroy Hezbollah. This is why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has started air strikes as well as ground action against Hezbollah targets. He is continuously cornering Hezbollah.
Netanyahu has realized that after the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah no longer has any solid leadership. Taking advantage of this, Israel has decided to enter Southern Lebanon. But now the question is why only South Lebanon?
Southern Lebanon is actually a stronghold of Iran-backed Hezbollah. Here Hezbollah benefits greatly from its entire tunnel network. The city of Tire located here is very important for Hezbollah. This city is also called the 'lifeline' of Hezbollah. This is why Netanyahu wants to completely end Hezbollah's connection with the city. Tire is the fourth largest city in Lebanon, after Beirut, Tripoli and Sidon.
Israel is engaged in successfully eliminating all connections of Hezbollah from the city of Tire in southern Lebanon. In the war with Ukraine, Russian President Putin also completely separated the Ukrainian city Donbass from Ukraine, after which Ukraine came on the back foot in the war.
What was Putin's Donbas plan?
When Russia attacked Ukraine in 2022, President Putin realized that if Ukraine was to be defeated, Donbass would have to be separated from Ukraine. Under this strategy, Putin recognized Donetsk and Luhansk, two regions of Donbass in eastern Ukraine, as one country. It was under the control of separatists since 2014.
Donbass is located in eastern Ukraine. Most of the population here speaks Russian, so Russia wanted to separate it from Ukraine. Fighting has been going on in Donbass between Russian-backed separatists and Ukrainian forces since 2014. Putin has said many times that his intention was to occupy Donbass because he wanted to psychologically harm Ukraine by occupying it.
Before Russia's occupation of Donbass, Ukrainian President Zelensky had also said that we will fight. But if Donbass is captured by Russia, then Russian President Putin will be successful in dividing Ukraine into two parts.
Let us tell you that the separation of Donbass has had a great impact on Ukraine's economy. A large number of coal mines are located here and it was called the industrial center of Ukraine. This is why separating Donbass from Ukraine was part of Putin's war policy.
