Mumbai: The Indian market has been ranked second after Hong Kong among the top five best performing global equity markets in the first six months of the current financial year. China remains at the last position among the top five markets with good performance.
After India, Singapore's equity market is at third place, while America is at fourth place and China is at fifth place.
Had it not been for the recent correction in the Hong Kong market, the Indian market would have been the top performer in the first six months of FY2025.
The Hang Seng Index rose 17.50 percent in September. Out of which an increase of 16 percent has been seen in the last five sessions only. In the first six months of FY 2025, the Nifty index rose every month except May.
