Kanpur, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). India won the two-match Test series 2-0 by defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets despite the second Test match being played at Green Park here being canceled due to rain for almost two and a half days.
In this match, after winning the toss, the Indian team bundled out Bangladesh for 233 runs in the first innings and after that, playing fast, declared its first innings at 285 runs for 9 wickets and took a lead of 52 runs on the basis of first innings. In the second innings, Bangladesh team was reduced to 146 runs, after which India got the target of only 95 runs.
Chasing the target of 95 runs, the Indian team won the match by scoring 98 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 17.2 overs. In the second innings, India's opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 51 runs with a brilliant half-century. Apart from Yashasvi, Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 29 runs. Along with Kohli, Rishabh Pant also returned unbeaten after scoring 4 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 8 runs and Shubhman Gill scored 6 runs.
For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets and Taijul Islam took 1 wicket.

Bangladesh's second innings had a bad start. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave India its first success by dismissing Zakir Hasan LBW. Zakir scored 10 runs. Ashwin also took the second wicket of Bangladesh. He bowled Hasan Mahmood and sent him to the pavilion. Hasan scored four runs.
Bangladesh's third wicket fell in the form of first innings centurion Mominul Haq. Ashwin sent Haq to the pavilion at a total score of 36 runs. Haq scored 2 runs. After this, Bangladesh's wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the entire team was reduced to 146 runs.
In the second innings, only Shadman Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim could play for some time for Bangladesh. Shadman scored 50 runs with a brilliant half-century, while Mushfiqur scored 37 runs.

After this, Yashasvi Jaiswal also batted fast and scored a half-century in 31 balls. Yashasvi was out after playing a quick inning of 72 runs in 51 balls.

After Kohli, the Indian team batted a few more overs and declared the innings after scoring 285 runs for 9 wickets. KL Rahul also batted well and scored 68 runs in 43 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes and Akash Deep scored 12 runs in 5 balls.
For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Shakib Al Hasan took four wickets each, while Hasan Mahmood got one wicket.
