Dubai, 1 October (HIST). Bangladesh and Sri Lanka completed their preparations for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 with wins over Pakistan and Scotland respectively.
Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 23 runs
In the practice match against Pakistan, Bangladesh, batting first, scored 140 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, thanks to Sharna Akhtar's unbeaten 28 and Shanti Rani's 23 runs.
Saadia Iqbal took 2 wickets for Pakistan.
In reply, Pakistan's entire team was reduced to 117 runs in 18.4 overs. For Pakistan, Omaima Sohail scored 33 runs and Fatima Sana scored 17 runs.
Marufa Akhtar and Shorna Akhtar took 2-2 wickets for Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka beat Scotland by 5 wickets
In another match, Sri Lanka defeated Scotland by 5 wickets due to the excellent performance of the bowlers.
Sri Lanka, bowling first, bowled out Scotland for only 58 runs in 19 overs. Although the Sri Lankan team, which came to chase the target of 59 runs, also had a bad start, but thanks to Kavisha Dilhari's 27 runs, the Lankan team achieved the target in 15.3 overs at the loss of 5 wickets.
