Lucknow, 30 September (HS). 2.1 mm of rain in Uttar Pradesh within 24 hours. Rain has been recorded. The state has received an average rainfall of 744.3 mm since June 1, which is 99.7 percent of the normal rainfall of 746.2 mm.
It has been informed by the Relief Department that due to rain and rain water released from other states, Ghaghra River, Rapti River, Budhi Rapti River, Rohin River, Kwano River are flowing above the danger level.
At present, the districts facing flood situation include 11 districts including Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Ballia, Lakhimipur Kheri, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Sitapur, Hardoi, Fatehpur, Ballia. NDRF and SDRF have been deployed in flood affected areas. A total of eight casualties have occurred in the last 24 hours. Of these, three people have lost their lives due to lightning, one each due to snakebite and heavy rains and three due to drowning.
