But many people do not know about a feature present in Aadhar card. This feature is to lock the Aadhaar card preventing its unauthorized use.
To lock Aadhaar card, you have to first go to the official website of UIDAI and click on the option of 'My Aadhaar'.
After this select 'Aadhaar Services' and then click on 'Aadhaar Lock/Unlock'. After this you have to select 'UID Lock' and then enter your UID number along with your full name and PIN code.
You will then receive an OTP on a registered number. After entering the OTP you have to click on submit. After this your Aadhar card will be locked. Actually, many times people's Aadhar card gets lost somewhere. In such a situation, you can keep your information safe by locking the Aadhar card.
