Mumbai: Gold and silver prices rose in Mumbai's jewellery market today. Silver prices were running above Rs 90 thousand per kg without GST. Gold prices in Ahmedabad market rose to Rs 78 thousand per 10 grams. There is news of a new record rise as the price of gold in the global market reached 2670 to 2671 per ounce. Funds were active. Due to rising import costs at the domestic level behind the world market, prices were also seen rising in the country's jewellery markets amid Shradhpaksha. However, new demand was slow.
Gold prices in Ahmedabad market rose by Rs 500 to Rs 77,600 at 99.50 and Rs 77,800 at 99.90, while Ahmedabad silver prices rose by Rs 500 to Rs 89,500 per kg. Gold prices in the world market were in the range of $2629 to $2630 per ounce, $2670 to $2671 to $2651 to $2658 to $2659 per ounce. Behind gold, global silver prices were in the range of $30.86 to $30.87 to a high of $32.28 to a low of $31.68 to $31.78 to $31.79 per ounce.
Meanwhile, in the Mumbai bullion market today, gold prices stood at Rs 74,947 without GST and Rs 74,465 at 99.50 and Rs 75,248 at 99.90, respectively. Silver prices in Mumbai rose from Rs 88,402 to Rs 90,730 without GST. Gold and silver prices in Mumbai were 3 per cent higher than these prices including GST.
Meanwhile, platinum prices in the world market were up from $ 976 to $ 977 an ounce to $ 999 to $ 993 to $ 994 an ounce. While palladium prices were at $ 1053 to $ 1054 to $ 1064 to $ 1057 to $ 1058. Global copper prices were down 0.22 percent from today's high.
