Ashoknagar, 25 September (HS). Bureaucrats in the district are in the news for their corrupt activities. Chief Executive Officer Reena Rathore posted in Chanderi Municipal Council, a tourist area of ​​the district, was also in the news for her corrupt activities. Due to this, action of suspension was taken against her by the Urban Administration Department.

This action of suspension was taken by the Commissioner of Urban Administration on Tuesday. It is also worth mentioning here that complaints against CMO Rathore kept coming up in the Collector's TL meeting locally, but the matter could not proceed further in the name of investigation by the Collector.

Actually, the reason for the suspension of the CMO was a complaint, on the basis of which a case was registered against the CMO by the Economic Offences Cell on 8 May 2024. It has been told that during the investigation of the case, many points of the complaint were found to be correct. These included complaints ranging from approval of construction work in a banned colony to payment of material. It has been told that while being the CMO of Chanderi Nagar Palika, Ms. Rathore paid bills of more than Rs 60 lakh in the name of electricity and drinking water material to a firm SA Traders between 2 November 2023 and 19 February 2024.

Similarly, within just ten days, a payment of Rs 3.79 lakh has been made in the name of calling for quotations in October 2023. Which was found to be against the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Municipal Accounts and Finance Rules 2018 during investigation. Similarly, the purchase and sale and transfer of plots of SADA Colony, in which SDM Chanderi had imposed a ban in September 2020. In that SADA Colony, the Municipal Corporation CMO issued permission for building construction in September 2023 on the land purchased by a person named Gaurishankar Bavale in March 2022. The CMO has been suspended after these allegations were found to be true. Similarly, the then CMO in the district headquarters Ashoknagar Municipality was also in the news for his actions, against whom corruption cases are also in practice.
