Israeli fighter jets are still dropping bombs in southern Lebanon. At least 500 people were killed and more than 1600 were injured in Israel's air strike. It should be noted that Hezbollah terrorists are supporting Hamas in the war in Gaza.

The New York Times quoted the Lebanese Health Ministry as saying that about 500 people, including dozens of women and children, were killed and more than 1,600 civilians were injured in Israeli air strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon. The entire Lebanon was shaken by the attacks. Earlier, Israel had destroyed Hezbollah's communication network (pagers and walkie-talkies). 37 people have lost their lives in pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon.

Hezbollah terrorists on the border: According to the news, so far Israel has failed to force Hezbollah to retreat from the Lebanon-Israel border. Hezbollah has said that it will continue to attack Israel until a ceasefire is agreed between Israel and Hezbollah's ally Hamas in Gaza.

Thousands of families displaced: According to Lebanon's Health Minister, thousands of families were displaced in the latest attacks. Israel also targeted ambulances and fire engines. Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked a school building in central Gaza yesterday. Displaced Palestinians are living in this school.

Bombing on 1600 places in Lebanon: Israel Defense Forces said in a statement on Tuesday morning that the Air Force attacked about 1,600 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon on Monday. The attack is still going on. Israel has intercepted about 165 rockets from Lebanon with its antimissile defense system.

US response: The Pentagon announced it would send US troops to the Middle East to protect thousands of Americans living in Lebanon.

France's reaction: French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has demanded that an emergency meeting of the Security Council be called on the situation in Lebanon. Attacks from both sides should stop immediately.
