VI $3.6 billion deal: Vodafone Idea (VI), which is facing financial crisis and debt, has taken a big decision to save its existence. VIA has signed a deal of $ 3.6 billion (Rs 30 thousand crores) with big companies like Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung. According to the company, this is the first step of their $ 6.6 billion (Rs 55 thousand crores) capex plan.
Plan to reach 120 crore people
The company said on Sunday, 'We want to expand our 4G network from 103 crore people to 120 crore people. Along with this, 5G network will also be expanded rapidly. Nokia and Ericsson have worked with us earlier. Now we have included Samsung with us. Their state-of-the-art equipment will play an important role in making VI's network accessible to the masses. We will continue to increase investment in network technology. Our goal is to provide the best experience to our customers. We have started working according to our plan. There are many opportunities for growth in the industry. We want to take advantage of this.'
The company raised capital of 24 thousand crores
The company said, 'These new devices will save energy. This will also reduce our operating costs. At present, our first goal is to expand the 4G network.' The company recently raised capital of Rs. 24 thousand crores. Apart from this, new spectrum was also purchased for Rs 3,500 crores. By the end of September, we will increase our coverage by 15 percent to 1.6 crore people. The company's long term plan has been prepared by a third party and given to the banks. We are hopeful that the banks will take a decision on this soon.
