Varanasi, 21 September (HS). Sanatan poet Mahamahopadhyaya Acharya Reva Prasad Dwivedi was remembered on his birth anniversary on Saturday. On the joint initiative of Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, Regional Center Varanasi and Kalidas Sansthan, Varanasi, books based on the life of Acharya were also released in the Smriti Lecture Series organized in the auditorium of the Center.
Speaker Prof. Ramakant Pandey, Director of Bhopal Campus of Central Sanskrit University, delivered a special lecture on “Sanatan Kavi Acharya Revaprasad Dwivedi's Swatantrya Darshan”. He said that Acharya Revaprasad Dwivedi's innovative principles in the field of Sanskrit poetics can be understood from his many books. Swatantryasambhavam is one of them. In this, the life philosophy of many Prime Ministers of the country like Indira Gandhi, P.B. Narasimha Rao and the current Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is mentioned. This book is a unique example of harmony between history and poetry.
Prof. Vindhyaeshwari Prasad Mishra, former Head of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan Faculty of Banaras Hindu University, also spoke about the life philosophy and works of Acharya. While presiding, Prof. Mishra said that Acharya Dwivedi has used different metaphors in his compositions. Sanatan Kavi has no equal in expressing his thoughts through technical words. In the program, Kumari Anuradha Dwivedi, granddaughter of Acharya Dwivedi, presented Mangalacharan. Director of the Center Dr. Abhijit Dixit gave the welcome address. Prof. Jaishankar Lal Tripathi, Professor Brajkishore Swain, Prof. Shivram Sharma, Dr. Pawan Kumar Pandey, Sadashiv Kumar Dwivedi, Prof. Vijay Shankar Shukla, Prof. Brajbhushan Ojha, Prof. Shantiswaroop Sinha, Dr. Sharadindu Kumar Tiwari, Dr. Siddhidatri Bhardwaj, Prof. Harinarayan Tiwari etc. were present in the lecture series. The program was conducted by Dr. Rajnikant Tripathi and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Trilochan Pradhan.
