Karate: Lucknow remained champion with 37 medals, Raebareli remained second | News India

Lucknow, September 20 (HS). Lucknow was the overall champion by winning 37 gold medals in the secondary school divisional karate competition held at Khalsa Inter College located at Gurdwara Naka Hindola, while Rae Bareli remained at second place by winning three gold and seven silver medals. Unnao remained at third place with two gold medals. Players from Lucknow, Rae Bareli and Unnao participated in the divisional level karate competition in different weight categories under 14, 17 and 19 age groups in boys and girls category.

All the winning participants were honoured with medals by Khalsa Inter College Managing Committee Chairperson Mrs. Sukhveen Kaur, College Chairman Mr. Charanpreet Singh Bagga, District Sports Committee Secretary Vedprakash Yadav and College Principal Mr. Virendra Singh. Chief Guest and College Manager Mr. Rajendra Singh Bagga congratulated all the winning players and asked the players who were deprived of medals not to be disappointed but to continue their efforts for victory. For this, Mr. Bagga asked them to take inspiration from the story of King Bruce and Spider. Divisional Karate Competition was organised in collaboration with Karate Association of Uttar Pradesh Secretary and Khalsa Inter College Sports and Physical Education Lecturer Mr. Jaspal Singh. College Principal Mr. Virendra Singh congratulated all the medal-winning players and thanked all the guests and parents.
