Kan lamented that when it comes to peace talks between Hamas and Israel to establish peace in Gaza, there are incidents where ceasefire and peace talks are derailed. He further said that the US is investigating the deadly pager explosions that took place in Lebanon yesterday. We also know that Israel's name is linked to these explosions.
“Whenever we negotiate a ceasefire, there are things that derail the whole process,” Blinken said in response to a question while addressing a press conference when he arrived here yesterday as part of efforts to bring peace in the Israel-Hamas war.
It is well known that on Tuesday the Hezbollah terrorist group used personal pagers to detonate explosives in Lebanon, killing 12 people, including a child. However, Israel has not explicitly said that it was behind the attack. It has also not said that it is not responsible for the pager attacks.
On October 7 last year, Hamas launched a reckless attack on southern Israel, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking 20 hostages. He was kidnapped and taken to his own territory. That's when the Gaza war began. It's been almost a year, but there's still no peace in sight.
