Varanasi, September 19 (HS). Former Uttar Pradesh minister and MLA of Varanasi city south, Dr Neelkanth Tiwari, on Thursday provided great relief to the traders of Rajghat and its surrounding areas. He restarted the operation of passenger buses to Rajghat. With the start of bus operations, the movement of passengers in this area will increase again. This will not only provide relief to the local traders but will also give impetus to business.
It is worth noting that in the past few days, the problem of road jam had increased a lot due to the operation of buses in this area. In view of which, the district administration had banned the movement of any bus beyond Kazakpura. Due to this, the movement of passengers was blocked in the Rajghat area, and due to this the business in this area had almost come to a standstill. The local traders were struggling for a long time with their problem. The troubled traders reached the residence of MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari and expressed their pain. MLA Dr. Tiwari immediately talked to the Police Commissioner and solved this problem and got permission for bus operation at night.
It is known that a lot of development work has been done in the Rajghat area in the last 5 years. While on one hand Namo Ghat has become a special tourist destination, on the other hand, pilgrims also use the Rajghat-Prahladghat route to go to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Due to this, businesses like hotels, paying guest houses, home stays, boatmen, restaurants were flourishing in this area.
Due to the stoppage of bus operations in the area, the access of passengers to this area had reduced considerably, due to which the local business was suffering a lot. In such a situation, there was a need to take a decision in view of the problem of traffic jam and business. The traders welcomed the decision of the Police Commissioner and thanked the MLA. Among those who met the MLA were BJP Mandal President Nalin Nayan Mishra, Councilor Lucky Bhardwaj, Balaji Rai, Dilip Kushwaha, Ajay Sahni, Durga Sahni, Pappu Sahni, Manoj Maurya, Satyadeep Singh and other traders.
