Moradabad, 18 September (HS). On the call of UP Congress Committee, Congress officials from various districts and cities of Moradabad division on Wednesday demonstrated at the divisional commissioner's office and handed over a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the Additional Commissioner. Apart from Moradabad district and city, Congressmen from Rampur, Sambhal, Bijnor, Amroha were present with their respective teams in the demonstration against the deteriorating law and order situation and police harassment.
Congress state secretary Sachin Chaudhary said that on the call of the state Congress committee, demonstrations were held and memorandums were submitted at all the divisional headquarters of the state today against the deteriorating law and order situation and police harassment in Uttar Pradesh. During this, Moradabad Congress district president Aslam Khurshid and metropolitan president Anubhav Mahrotra said that the graph of crimes against women in the state is increasing rapidly. Law and order has completely collapsed. Police is taking action on the basis of religion and caste.
Besides Congress State Secretary Sachin Chaudhary, those who demonstrated included Sambhal District President Vijay Sharma, Bijnor District President Sherwas Pathan, former Rampur MLA Afroz Ali Khan, Congress spokesperson and District Vice President Sudhir Pathkar, Minority Department Moradabad District President Afzal Sabri, former mayor candidate Anand Mohan Gupta Advocate, former Metropolitan President Asad Malai and other Congressmen.
