Cooch Behar, September 17 (HS). The news of a 16-year-old boy drowning in the Torsha river of the district came to light on Tuesday afternoon. This incident which took place at Phansighat created a sensation in the area.
According to the information received, four teenagers from the city's Amartala area had come to bathe in Torsha with their friends in the afternoon. Out of them, Devashish Das got washed away after bathing in the river. On receiving the information, police and civic volunteers reached the spot. On receiving the information about the incident, the teenager's family and relatives reached the spot. The family members are inconsolable.
The police of Kotwali police station said that every possible effort is being made to find the girl.
