Samastipur, September 17 (HS). On Tuesday, under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha, “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024”, “Mission Griha Pravesh” under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign under MNREGA scheme were launched. The slogan of Swachhata Hi Seva and Swachhata Abhiyan “Swachhata Aur Nirmat Se Bharta-Apna Samastipur” was inaugurated by the District Magistrate.
While giving the welcome speech, the Deputy Development Commissioner gave detailed information about the program. He said that this campaign will run from today till October 2 and it will require coordination of all the major departments of the district. Apart from this, the Deputy Development Commissioner suggested all the concerned departments to use their workforce for the successful implementation of the campaign. After this, the District Magistrate himself addressed the program.
Talking about the importance of cleanliness in daily life, the District Magistrate stressed the need to bring about behavioral change among people regarding maintaining cleanliness. During the address, the District Magistrate also directed all the concerned officials to complete the works prescribed under this scheme on time and ensure coordination for the successful implementation of this campaign. Similarly, the District Magistrate, while referring to the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, said that in this district, attention will not only be given to planting trees but also to the conservation of plants, in this regard, he also appealed to the common citizens to conserve trees in their respective areas.
