East Champaran, 17 September (HS). New Police Captain Swarn Prabhat on Tuesday issued orders to all the police station heads of the district to register an FIR against those playing DJ in any religious procession and take legal action.
It has been said in the order that communal tensions are being reported from place to place due to the use of DJ in religious processions. In such a case, action should be taken against those using DJ under the Loudspeaker Act. He has also appealed to people of all communities of the district that on the orders of the court, the Home Department has completely banned DJ in religious processions. In such a case, avoid using DJ in any religious ceremony.
It is noteworthy that a case of communal tension between two communities has come to light in Chakia and Banjaria of the district over playing DJ. However, due to the promptness of local intellectuals and police, the plans of mischievous elements have failed.
