In just 6 months, 11 crore devotees visited Ram Mandir | News India

After the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, it has become one of the favorite places for tourists. Thousands of people visit Ram Mandir daily and within six months this figure has reached 11 crores. After the installation of Ram Lalla's idol in Ram Mandir, about 11 crore devotees have visited Shri Ram Lalla during the months of January to June. The Tourism Department has announced the number of tourists visiting various tourist places in Uttar Pradesh.

According to this, 32.98 crore tourists have arrived in Uttar Pradesh. Last year, 19.60 crore tourists had come to UP in these six months. This means that Ayodhya and entire Uttar Pradesh have benefited from tourism due to Ram Mandir. In the six months of this year, 13.38 crore more tourists have come as compared to the six months of last year. This includes 32.87 crore domestic and 10.36 lakh foreign tourists. Cities like Agra and Varanasi are the most popular among foreign tourists. In the six-month period, 7.03 lakh tourists came to Agra and 1.33 lakh tourists came to Varanasi.

Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that tourism in UP has grown rapidly in recent years. After the completion of the construction of Shri Ramlala temple in Ayodhya, the arrival of tourists has increased rapidly. Between January and June, the highest number of 10.99 crore tourists visited Ayodhya in the state. Out of which 2,851 were foreign tourists. During this period, 4.61 crore tourists have come to Varanasi. These include 1.33 lakh foreign tourists. Similarly, 4.53 crore tourists came to Prayagraj. Which also includes 3,668 foreign tourists.

Similarly, 3.07 crore tourists including 49,619 foreign tourists have visited Mathura. Taj Mahal is one of the most popular tourist destinations. So far 76.88 lakh tourists have visited Agra to see the Taj Mahal. Talking about other cities, the number of tourists visiting Lucknow was 35.14 lakh. This also includes 7,108 foreign tourists. According to the data of the Ministry of Tourism, last year 48 crore tourists visited various places in Uttar Pradesh. This year the number of tourists is expected to exceed 60 crore.
