Gujarat players continue to dominate the ITF J30 tennis tournament played at ACTF. This is probably the first time when both Gujarati players will be in the boys' final.
Second seed Vatsal Manikanth defeated eighth seed Parth Chavda 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 after reaching the first set tiebreaker. In the other semifinal, 15-year-old Om Patel continued his fine form and came back after losing the first set to beat Manan Aggarwal 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-1 to set up a place in the final against Parth.
In the girls' category, top seed Aishwarya Jadhav easily defeated Salayeti Varadkar 6-1, 6-0. In the other semifinal, qualifier Prachi Malik earned her first ITF junior point by beating eighth seed Sonkusare 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to reach the final.
Ranveer-Saurya, Shaivy-Parthasarathy became champions in doubles
Saurya Bharadwaj and Ranveer Singh defeated Parth and Om Verma 6-3, 6-2 to win the ITF J30 tennis boys doubles title. In the girls category, fourth seeds Shaivy Dalal and Parthsarthi Munde defeated Angel Patel and Pal Upadhyay 7-5, 6-3 to win the trophy.
