Auraiya, September 14 (HS). Chambal, Sindh and Kunwari rivers have overflowed in the holy confluence of five holy rivers Yamuna, Chambal, Sindh, Pahuj and Kunwari in Panchnad Dham pilgrimage area. Due to the overflow and water rise in these rivers, the water level of Yamuna river has also increased and flood situation is visible. Due to the rivers assuming a furious form, the water has now turned towards the villages and lower parts situated on the banks, due to which there is a state of fear and anxiety among the people.

It is being seen. The administration has come into alert mode in three districts of Chambal region.

It is noteworthy that the terrible form of Yamuna river witnessed by the people living on the banks of river in Auraiya district adjoining Chambal two years ago was quite disturbing.

At that time, a terrible situation had arisen in the coastal villages of the entire region. Due to which people had to be displaced and there was a lot of damage to the houses along with crops worth crores of rupees. Keeping that in mind, panic has once again spread among the people in the area these days. According to the information received from Sachet App and Disaster Management, 26000 cusecs of water has been released in the Chambal river, which will increase by this evening (Saturday). The water level of the Chambal river is likely to decrease at present and this may reduce the risk of flood. Still, the administration of the three districts, especially Auraiya, Etawah and Jalaun, is taking precautions against the flood threat.

Keeping this in mind, the government is in alert mode. The authorities have made all elaborate arrangements to deal with the flood and people living in the riverine areas have been alerted.

The officials engaged in flood management have made arrangements to evacuate people from their respective areas in any situation. Local officials say that

If water from any other river flows into Yamuna, a terrible situation can arise in Auraiya area. Therefore, people are being informed and warned from time to time. At present, the situation is under control.

According to the information, Betwa river in Hamirpur district coming from Madhya Pradesh is in spate due to which the water level of Yamuna river is increasing at a faster pace due to the blockage of Betwa river water. Due to this, fear and panic is being seen among the people living in the coastal areas of Yamuna river. Auraiya administration is constantly monitoring the water level of Yamuna river. Ajitmal SDM said that in the coastal areas around Yamuna,

Other necessary arrangements have been made while instructing the villagers living there to remain alert.
