New Delhi: According to a new report, 'The GCC capital of the world', India has the largest base of global technology competence centres, accounting for 17 per cent of the global market share and currently employing 1.9 million people. The GCC market in India is projected to grow to $99-105 billion by 2030, with the number of GCCs expected to reach 2,100-2,200 and the workforce expected to grow to 2.5-2.8 million (2.5 million-2.8 million).
In the last five years, over 400 new GCCs and 1,100 new centres have been established in the country, taking the total number of GCCs to over 1,700.
GCCs to India generated export revenues of $64.6 billion in FY24 and the average GCC talent pool grew by 24 per cent from FY19 and is estimated to have 1,130 employees in FY24.
