These documents will be needed

  • The Election Commission of India has provided the facility to transfer the voter ID card to a new address online. For this you will need some documents.
  • Utility bills (water, gas, electricity) must be from within the past year.
  • Aadhar card
  • Current passbook of any nationalised or scheduled bank or post office
  • Indian passport
  • Land-ownership records obtained from the Revenue Department, including Kisan Bahi
  • Registered lease or rent deed
  • Registered Sale Deed
  • Must have a registered account on National Voter Service Portal

These steps have to be followed

step 1- First of all you Website of National Voter Service Portal(NVSP) will go on .

Step 2- On the home page itself, you will get the option of 'Transfer of Residence', in which you will have to tap on Form 8 and fill it.

Step 3- Now click on 'Self' and enter the EPIC number and submit.

step 4- Here you have to review your voter details and then click on ‘Change of Residence’.

Step 5- Some important details have to be filled in Form 8. Which includes state, district, assembly, Aadhaar number, mobile number, email and new address, address proof documents, declare information, enter captcha code, proceed for review and submit.

Step 6- After filling Form 8, application reference number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email.

Step 7- After few days you will be able to download Digital Voter ID Card from NVSP Portal.
