Earthquake felt in Delhi-NCR, its intensity was 5.8 | News India


Islamabad, September 11 (HS). Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR at around 1 pm on Wednesday. The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be Pakistan. Along with Pakistan, earthquake tremors were also felt in many states of India including Haryana and Punjab. People came out of their homes in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.

According to the National Seismological Center, an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck at 12:58 pm today. The epicentre of this earthquake was 33 kilometres below the ground in Pakistan. According to Pakistani newspapers, the epicentre of the earthquake was Dera Ghazi Khan. There is no news of any kind of damage so far. According to local newspapers, officials say that the Pakistan government is fully prepared to deal with any kind of damage after the earthquake.

After the earthquake, many people in Delhi and NCR came out of their homes and offices due to panic. They were seen discussing the earthquake among themselves and calling their loved ones to inquire about their well-being. It is worth mentioning that earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi two weeks ago as well.
