Kanpur, 10 September (HS). A low pressure area is continuously forming in the Bay of Bengal, due to which a depression is developing in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, the effect of sea storm Yaga is being seen in Uttar Pradesh via Bundelkhand. In such a situation, the monsoon will not weaken and there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coming days. The Meteorological Department says that there are signs of good rain in Uttar Pradesh in the month of September.

Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University, said on Tuesday that the pressure formed over interior Odisha has moved ahead in the west north-west direction. The monsoon trough is now passing through Bikaner, Kota, Guna, Sagar, northern Chhattisgarh and adjoining interior Odisha, the center of pressure, Puri and then in the south-east direction towards central Bengal. The western disturbance is being seen as a trough in the middle tropospheric western winds, whose axis is about 5.8 km above sea level, north of latitude 32 degrees Celsius north at about 72 degrees east longitude. Along with this, the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is continuously active which is giving strength to the monsoon in Uttar Pradesh. In the coming days, the monsoon will bring heavy rains at some places and moderate rains at other places in the entire Uttar Pradesh. The activity of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh is also increasing due to the fact that the effect of sea storm Yagi is also increasing in Uttar Pradesh through Bundelkhand. Due to these weather activities, there will be rain in Uttar Pradesh as well as lightning along with thunder. Due to the impact of the storm, the winds will blow fast.

He informed that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was 35.2 and the minimum temperature was 25.4 degree Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 85 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 62 percent. The wind direction was north-easterly with an average speed of 2.6 km per hour and the rainfall was 29.7 mm. According to the weather forecast, there will be light clouds in the next five days. There is a possibility of 20 to 25 mm rain in Kanpur division and 30 to 40 mm rain in some areas.
