Russia-Ukraine war: Ukrainian officials reject Iran's claims, say 'be prepared to face consequences' | News India

Ukraine has summoned Iran's ambassador and warned that Iran will face serious consequences if reports of missile exports to Russia turn out to be true. However, Iran has denied reports of missile exports to Russia.

Ukraine's foreign ministry said in a statement that it had summoned Iran's ambassador and warned that Iran would face serious consequences for bilateral relations if reports of Russia supplying ballistic missiles to Ukraine proved to be true. However, a senior Iranian official on Monday dismissed the reports and called them “psychological warfare”. An EU spokesman said the reports were credible.

Iran has supplied Russia with short-range ballistic missiles. Ukraine's foreign ministry said on Telegram that it had summoned Iran's charge d'affaires Shahriar Amozeghar and warned him of consequences if reports of missile deliveries were true.

Earlier, Fazlollah Nozari, a senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, told the Iranian Labor News Agency that no missiles had been sent to Russia and that the claim was a form of psychological warfare. Nozari also said, “Iran is not supporting any side in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Missile supply report reliable!

Western and Ukrainian officials have rejected Iran's claims that it is not supporting any side in the Ukraine-Russia conflict. EU foreign affairs spokesman Peter Stano said, “We are aware of credible information provided by our partners regarding the delivery of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.” He said that if it is confirmed, it would be evidence that Iran was also involved in the Russian attack on Ukraine.
