Moradabad, 09 September (HS). Senior theatre artist Dr Rakesh Jaiswal, resident of Buddhi Vihar of the city, has been made a member of the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy. Dr Jaiswal's tenure will be three years. According to the letter issued by Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary of Sanskrit Section of Uttar Pradesh Government, with the approval of the Governor, 12 members have been nominated in addition to one chairman and vice chairman in the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Rakesh Jaiswal has been associated with films and theatre for a long time. He has performed more than four and a half thousand street plays. Apart from directing plays and short films, Dr. Jaiswal is also an excellent script writer. He has produced many message-oriented films under the banner of Neetu Arts that give a new direction to the society and has taught acting to many artists of the metropolis and given them a chance to act in his films.
Dr. Rakesh Jaiswal, who returned to Moradabad on Monday after attending the provincial general meeting of Sanskar Bharti Meerut province held at Shukratal in Muzaffarnagar, said that he will work to promote the culture of Uttar Pradesh. For this, he will give the message of social harmony through short plays at the district level. Special camps will be organized for the children of secondary schools through the Sangeet Natak Academy.
