Elon Musk will build a city on Mars, will send the first Starship in two years | News India

Elon Musk's company SpaceX is planning to send its largest rocket Starship to Mars in the next two years.

The company's CEO Elon Musk has said that this will be an unmanned mission, in which the safe landing of the rocket on Mars will be verified. If this mission is successful, a human mission will be sent to Mars in the next four years. Based on its success, the Mars mission will be accelerated. If everything goes well, Musk is planning to settle one million people on Mars in the next 20 years. He supported testing the possibility of life on more than one planet and said that we should not depend on one planet. Musk has also asked SpaceX employees to start working on a plan to build a city on Mars.

According to US media reports, there are plans to build small dome-shaped houses on Mars. Another team is working on building special spacesuits that can withstand the hostile environment of Mars, while a medical team is researching whether humans can have children on Mars. Musk said in 2016 that it would take 40 to 100 years to build a human settlement on Mars, but now he has announced that he will establish human settlements on Mars in the next 20 years. His goal is to settle about 1 million people on Mars.

Reusable rockets will reduce the cost of Mars missions

Musk also said that his company SpaceX has created the first reusable rocket and this will reduce the cost of space missions, making it economically cost-effective to travel from one planet to another. SpaceX's most powerful launch vehicle, Starship, made a successful flight in June this year. It was launched from a private Starbase in Texas. SpaceX broadcasted its flight live. SpaceX's previous three attempts had failed.

Technology needs to improve 10,000 times: Musk

Elon Musk said that Mars is a challenging environment. The environment there is not suitable for humans to live. However, we may be able to settle humans there in the coming years. But for this we will have to improve the existing technology 10 times.
