East Champaran, 06 September (HS). The District Bar Association has taken the murder of Civil Court advocate Sunil Thakur seriously. The General Secretary of the Bar Association, Rajiv Kumar Dwivedi alias Pappu Dubey, has demanded from the police administration that along with the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the murder, the conspirator should also be arrested. He said that all the advocates of the district are deeply saddened by the death of Sunil Thakur.
It is noteworthy that on 26th August at 4 pm, Sunil Kumar Thakur and his brother Rajnish Thakur were called by Vijay Thakur to his house to resolve a land dispute, where they were severely injured by hitting them on the head with a stick. They died during treatment on 27th August in Patna. In this case, Rajnish Thakur, Sujit Thakur and Vijay Thakur have been accused on the statement of the brother. The case was first registered in Gandhi Maidan police station of Patna. From where, after the case was transferred, an FIR was registered in Turkaulia police station. After the murder of Sunil Thakur, there is anger among the lawyers.
District Bar Association President Shesh Narayan Kunwar, General Secretary Pappu Dubey, former General Secretary Narendra Dev, Kamakhya Narayan Singh, Kanhaiya Singh, Narendra Mishra, Shambhu Singh, Ramakant Pandey, Anil Kumar Singh, Hareshwar Prasad, Dinesh Prasad, Dinesh Singh, Santosh Kumar Singh, Alok Chandra, Dhananjay Singh, SK Pankaj, Pratyush Singh, Vinay Singh, Manu Mishra, Mukund Tiwari, Ashok Shrivastava, Vijay Kumar along with hundreds of advocates expressed condolences to the deceased and demanded the immediate arrest of the murderers.
