One student said
According to US local media reports, eyewitness student Sergio Caldera claimed that we were in chemistry class when we heard gunfire. 17-year-old Caldera said that when our teacher opened the door, another teacher came running and asked him to keep the door closed. When the students and teachers gathered in a classroom, someone knocked on the door loudly from outside and shouted. A few minutes later, after everything had calmed down, the sound of gunfire was heard again.
The most horrific incident happened in 2007
There have been hundreds of shootings inside schools and colleges in the US in the past two decades. The deadliest incident was at Virginia Tech in 2007, which killed more than 30 people. The massacre sparked a heated debate over gun laws in the US and the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, which guarantees the right to keep and purchase firearms.
