At the same time, the state government can also announce bonus for non-gazetted employees. However, the increase in dearness allowance will be announced only after the increase by the central government.
The hike in dearness allowance announced by the Uttar Pradesh government is expected to benefit around 15 lakh government employees of the state. This decision is expected to put an additional burden of Rs 3,000 crore on the state treasury. Apart from this, non-gazetted employees are expected to get a bonus, which will be decided on the basis of their basic salary and DA. Last year, a bonus of about Rs 7000 was allotted to the employees. It is estimated that there will be a slight increase in the bonus this time.

The 7th Pay Commission was formed in February 2014 for government employees so that people can get salary hike according to inflation. The recommendations presented by the commission after its establishment were implemented from 1 January 2016. The Pay Commission is called every decade and it is implemented so that people can get benefits. In such a situation, it is expected that the central government can implement the Eighth Pay Commission soon.
How much will the salary increase be?
After the official announcement by the government, the 8th Pay Commission is expected to be established in the year 2026. If the 8th Pay Commission is implemented, as per the forecasts, the potential salary hike will be between 20% to 35%, which could lead to a rise in the Level 1 compensation to around Rs 34,560 and Level 18 compensation to Rs 4.8 lakh.
When will the dearness allowance of central employees increase?
It is worth noting that so far there has been no increase in the dearness allowance of central employees in the month of July. But some reports say that it may be announced next month.
